This checklist includes items for both preparation prior to arrival at NE-CAT and while using the robotic sample automounter. Information provided is supplemental and is not a substitute for proper training.
Essential Requirements for Robot Use
IMPORTANT
Do not touch, move or otherwise manipulate the base thawing accessory. If you are not given specific permission to touch portions of the MD2 or the Sample Mounting Robot, then DO NOT MOVE them.
Notify NE-CAT staff so that Robot can be prepared prior to your arrival.
The Robot accepts only ALS-style Pucks and Unipucks.

Only CrystalCap Magnetic ALS, CrystalCap HT, and CrystalCap Copper ALS HT bases are accepted for use with the Robot.

All pins must be 18mm in length.
All bases must be dry prior to loading into cryopucks.
You need to load your samples into cryopucks prior to Robot use.
