5a. Data collection with Pilatus 6MF detector

There are several limitation when using a new detector:
1. Minimum distance is only 250 mm
2. A continious vector (helical) scan of the crystyals is not compatible (for now) with shutter-less collection mode
3. Detector pixel-size is bigger as compared to ADSC detector

The dector has the following advantages:
1. Very low background- thus you may experience an increase of resolution, as very weak spots may be measured.
2. Close to zero point spread function - very sharp reflections and it may increase the resolution of overlapping reflections.
3. Shutterless mode - fast data collection in a single exposure (no synchronization errors) - ~120 frames per minute.

When you are going to "data collection"  mode and select "run constructor" the following dialog will appear:

"Shutter Sync" should be always "Hard"

"Shutterless Ops" should be "ON", unless you want slowly collect data.

It is recommended to use "discreet vector scan" to collect data along long crystal  and use
shutterless mode.
