NE-CAT maintains two computers for data backup; one for each beamline.  When you are done with your data collection it is recommended that you back up your data on a drive and take it with you. We will keep images backed up onsite for 6 months and processed data for approximately a year. To backup your data we recommend:

• Hard drive of sufficient size (if you are unsure, please contact your User Support)
• Recommended format should be ext3 with a USB2 connection

If you wish to rsync your data, a remote session can be created so that you may use the sync script.  Otherwise, data transfer can only occur from NE-CAT to your home institution.  Sessions cannot be made in reverse.
